Primal Reflex Release Technique (P.R.R.T.)

Primal Reflex Release Technique (PRRT) is a new treatment approach in the field of pain treatment and management that allows for rapid assessment and treatment. PRRT is the next paradigm shift in health care. PRRT is a systematic approach to the evaluation and treatment of primal reflexes which, according to John Iams, P.T., are over stimulated. This over stimulation of the primal reflexes maintains pain and keeps painful patterns active. PRRT is a very gentle technique that can quickly and effectively treat a wide range of musculoskeletal problems, including issues such as sports injuries, physical trauma, tendonitis and much more. The Kinesio Taping Method involves taping over and around muscles in order to assist and give support or to prevent over-contraction. The first technique gives the practitioner the opportunity to actually give support while maintaining full range of motion, enabling the individual to participate in physical activity with functional assistance. The second technique helps prevent overuse or over-contraction and helps provide facilitation of lymph flow 24 hours per day. It is most commonly used in the acute stage of rehabilitation. Kinesio Tex Tape can be used in conjunction with other therapies, including chiropractic, physiotherapy modalities, massage therapy, and rehabilitation.
